Our Dream is:To inspire and encourage interest in equestrian competition. To ensure the safety and well being of the horses, regardless of value or competitive level.
We will endeavor to provide vision and leadership to advance the level and quality of horsemanship while providing enforced guidelines and regulations for the safety of the equestrian; and promote the value of personal best in performance.
To not accept membership from those individuals who have been convicted of abuse to horses and fraudulent actions in any business with horses.
To oppose and prevent the use of forbidden substances and all cruel unsportsmanlike practices.
To define and establish levels of equestrian competition as may be required.
Because the horse is no longer a utilitarian farm animal and we no longer have available endless prairies, there is a need for equestrian competition as sport. Those of us involved as farms, managers, officials, amateur and professional have a responsibility to be caretakers of this sports activity for the benefit of the equestrians and the pleasure of the public.
To develop interest and participation with all equine associations, all breed and discipline organizations because we all speak the same language "horse".
To establish state, zone, regional and national awards programs and finals to reward excellence.
To sponsor educational clinics, seminars and symposiums as they are required to educate everyone regarding competitions, animal management and horsemanship.
To train and educate the next generation for the functions necessary in this labor intensive industry through apprentice and intern programs.
Our Purpose is:
To be the caretakers of our equine partners and to preserve acreage where we can support them and do not expect them to support us, but where we give each other confidence and pleasures. Courage is just another word for confidence and confidence is the cornerstone of horsemanship.
As such caretakers we can offer our communities open green acreage with a most pristine use of the land compatible with protection of the environment. While horsemanship is an art; horse keeping is a science and good animal care makes good neighbors.
To educate that horsemanship is the kind of experience that serves to develop and strengthen high achievement standards. It teaches respect and a partnership with every other living creature.
To protect and support the welfare of horses; encourage and promote physical fitness for the rider. To demonstrate good sportsmanship and invite public participation in all horse related activities. To educate members and the public in the various skills, techniques and levels of performance.
To Regulate Horse Competitions in such a way that it is the best interests of the whole sport. In that we will eliminate those who do damage to the reputation and good will of our sport and industry.
