We would be pleased to offer Western and Saddleseat if there is an interest from Show Managers and competitors familiar with the specifications that would be successful. If you have an interest please contact the Webmaster with your suggestions. This is An Alliance which operates like a world wide Town Meeting.

We are not about money for the Alliance we are about the best possible competitive opportunities for horsemen in the truest sense of "Sport".

COMPETITION MEMBERSHIP:

Any Competition is eligible to register with the usAHSA. A 50 mile radius is required between shows a priority will be awarded on a first come basis for all applications submitted by April 1, 2005. Conflicts may be compromised with Time Scheduling agreements. After that it as dates become available. USEF dates will be recognized under a grandfather proviso.

The Competition must provide the usAHSA with a Certified Insurance Certificate listing usAHSA as a co-insured party for $1,000,000.00 plus an umbrella of $2,000,000.00. They must also include the prescribed "Hold Harmless Waiver" which is available on the web site.

Officials must include Certified Judges, Stewards, EMT and have a telephone capable of calling 911 or other emergency number in the event of an emergency. There must be access for an ambulance or other emergency equipment if needed.

The Competition must agree to follow all the rules for all the classes and divisions offered awards by usAHSA.

Applications must be accompanied by the Prize List, completed application form, and fees, received no later than 15 days before the first day of the show. Any applications and dues not received before the required date will be accepted up until the date of the show at twice the normal fee for that show. No refunds will be made for any reason. Shows that are canceled may apply dues to their next show. Notification of any suspended horse shows will be posted on the web site.

Competition Membership Options

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP DUES: $5.00 for each entry in a usAHSA section offered, except In no case shall the dues for any show exceed $100.00; however, all shows must indicate on their membership application each section offered. Dues must be paid to the Treasurer at the Main Office of the usAHSA

PARTICIPATING MEMBERSHIP DUES: A Registered show may choose this option and return to the competitor a $5.00 credit on every class in every division or section instead of paying the usAHSA any competition dues. If participating in this discount plan they will have membership cards indicating their Participating Membership and instead will send $25.00 for each member to the office of the usAHSA.

PRIZE LIST: Complete class specifications for each usAHSAsection or class offered must be printed in the prize list. In addition, the following entire statement must be included in usAHSA member prize lists: "Member of U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. All points won at this show will count toward the annual usAHSA High Score Awards. In order to be eligible for an award in any usAHSA section, the horse, pony or rider must have shown in that section in at least six member shows. Any show failing to print the above statement in both their prize list and program shall be subject to a $50.00 fine. Any show, which advertises itself to be a member of the usAHSA and has not paid its dues before the first day of the show shall be subject to disciplinary action by the usAHSA Hearing committee. All classes or sections must conform to the specifications and be run accordingly without exception.

ELIGIBILITY: In order to be eligible for an award in a given usAHSA section, the horse, pony or rider must be entered and shown in that section in at least six usAHSA member shows. Should a particular section or class be run at ten shows or less, a horse must have entered and shown in at least 50% of the shows at which the section or class was run.

RESULTS: Complete results, a copy of the prize list, along with class sheets of all usAHSA classes must be sent to by Electronic Email if possible.

Results must be post marked within ten (10) days after the final date of the show. Results must include the names of all horses and owners or riders as required for awards including post and other added entries and scratches, and any changes or additions to the prize list. Note: If sections are combined, height of animal or age of rider must be included with the results. A list of all entries in classes that count towards usAHSA must be submitted. We need your cooperation in order to keep the competitors informed.

An OFFICE FEE of $50.00 per week (or part thereof) will be imposed upon any show whose results are not received by the points recorder within the allotted time, or who fail to submit complete results as noted above. This fee shall be payable along with dues for the following year before any negligent show will be permitted to register as a Member of usAHSA. Failure to send a prize list will result in an OFFICE FEE of $25.00. This is

POINTS: This season’s point year will run from May 1, 2005 to October 31, 2005. At all Regional Finals and District Finals the points will be doubled.

For the year 2006 we will start an annual schedule November 1, 2005 to October 31, 2006. No credit will be given in any classes if less than three entries have shown and placed. Championships may be awarded points in order to calculate them. But, no bonus points will be awarded for Champion and Reserve towards the usAHSA National Awards.

HUNTERS: Points will be awarded in accordance with 1st place= 6 points; 2nd place =5 points; 3rd place =4 points;              4th place= 3 points; 5th place =2 points and 6th place = 1 point. Ribbons awarded above that will not acquire points for usAHSA. No points for championship or reserve ribbons in hunter sections. All Divisions must include an under saddle class and no more than three fences classes. No bonus points based on cash awarded.

JUMPERS: Points will be awarded in accordance with 1st place= 6 points; 2nd place =5 points; 3rd place =4 points; 4th place= 3 points; 5th place =2 points and 6th place = 1 point. Ribbons awarded above that will not acquire points for usAHSA. No points for championship or reserve ribbons in jumper sections.

EQUITATION and all other AWARD CLASSES and DIVISIONS: 1st through 6th place will receive points as 6-5-4-3-2-1 in all  Classes or divisions. No points for championship or reserve ribbons in equitation sections.

RIDER ELIGIBILITY on PONIES: Adults may show ponies in classes that are not restricted to junior riders, however that pony may not be shown in any junior exhibitor class at the same show.

DISPUTES: In any disputes concerning usAHSA rules, any available usAHSA board member must be consulted in a conference with the horse show Steward.

The rules of the usAHSA, where not specifically set forth herein, and where a us AHSA Rule applies in the Specifications, shall be assumed to incorporate the usAHSA rule which shall govern to the same extent as if fully set forth herein. In all cases, however, the decision of the Committee shall be final and binding upon all members and participants.

usAHSA AWARDS are offered in the following sections and classes, the specifications for which are in accordance with our rules and definitions, except as specified below. Please note: age of rider is determined as of December 1, each year. The TITLE of the Divisions and Classes may be Regional in preference but they must run according to the same specifications. If you offer Classes or divisions with different specifications you may apply for permission to have those pointed for National Awards Presentqation.
