The U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. values your privacy. To keep you informed, we have created this privacy statement that discloses our purposes and methods for online collection and use of information. This statement applies to all information collected through the usAHSA.org website.

TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
Generally, personal information is not collected from visitors to the U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. website. However, in order to access certain special services, personal information is requested; those cases are described in more detail below.
BULLETIN BOARD REGISTRATION
The U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. requires a valid e-mail address for users who want to participate in the usAHSA.org discussion forums. This allows us to protect our community from abusive postings and provides a verifiable point of contact should legal questions arise. At any time, you have the ability to keep your e-mail address hidden from other users by selecting that option within your user profile.
The purpose of these forums is for the exchange of ideas and opinions. The Moderator reserves the right to delete any posts that are offensive.
THERE IS TO BE NO ADVERTISING. Direct or indirect for any person, farm, trainer, product, service or any associations.
THERE ARE TO BE NO PERSONAL ATTACKS. There can be an honest difference of opinion on any ideas and any side of any issue but this is for serious discussion of practical ideas to make our sports activity better, safer or more productive. There is never a good reason to attack the messenger because you don't like the message. If you have a difference of opinion take it to private messages and out of the public forums.
IF YOU HAVE EVIDENCE THAT SOMEONE HAS POSTED FRAUDULENT INFORMATION bring it to the moderator privately and we will deal with the issues. Rumors, second hand hearsay, gossip and personal evaluations of others who post are not acceptable on any forum.
Also in the forum registration, you have the option of providing some additional information such as occupation, interests, and homepage URL. This information is made available to other bulletin board users to foster a sense of community. If you have any concerns about providing this information, simply leave the fields blank and your registration will still be processed.
IF YOU ARE 13 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER and would like to participate in the usAHSA.org forums, you will need to print the Parental Consent Form and have your parent or legal guardian mail or fax it to the U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. 204 Schooleys Mountain Road, Long Valley, New Jersey 07853, Fax:(908)876-3959 prior to posting on the forums.
BULLETIN BOARD NOTICES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
From time to time, the usAHSA.org On-Line forums administrator sends out notices regarding the U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. website. If you check "yes" on your registration form for this option, these occasional notices will be sent to your e-mail address. You can change this option at any time by clicking on the "profile" link and modifying your profile. There are also pertinent Announcements posted on the Forum Sites.
COOKIES
Certain activities on the U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. website involve the use of "cookies" to facilitate your experience. This includes retention of your user name and password for the Scriptkeeper forums and showing a default Topic View when you visit the forums. You have the option to turn these off at any time by updating your user profile preferences. For that reason, we discourage the offering of any personally identifying information within the message board itself.
PRIVACY FOR CHILDREN AGED 13 AND UNDER
Although the U.S.A. Horse Shows Association, Inc. website is targeted at a general adult audience, we welcome the participation of younger users with their parents consent. We strongly recommend that users 13 and under refrain from offering any personal information either in their user profile or in the message boards themselves, and we encourage parents to stay involved in the online life of their children.
